What Matters?

Now that the fall semester has started, I’m a bit scared I won’t have time to work on my book. I woke up early today to work on the 10th chapter, which seemed to go pretty well. But I wrote a lot of these chapters from much shorter blog posts (in part) in 2022, so I have some scaffolding for many of them. I’ve also been able to structure them all ahead of time so the book has an overall arc, I guess you could say.

Do Not Publish!

So, I’ve been working on my new book—the one for artists—for the past week. Well, almost a week. I’m on a roll here, but my confidence still ebbs and flows. Though, I think I’m just learning to accept that. So what if I don’t think I’m amazing? Who really does, anyway? I mean, I do know people who think they are totally amazing, and they annoy me. And what’s the line between having healthy confidence and being a narcissist? I don’t know. I constantly worry I’m a narcissist! Does that even make sense?

Virtually Nothing

This morning, I was shopping for audiobooks on Amazon, looking for a compelling memoir. I have been thinking about my own memoir—not the one I published, but the one I’ve been working on (on and off) for years now. It’s basically, hopefully, a better version of the first one, but I don’t think I will be calling it a memoir. I’m not sure yet.
