Too Busy for Art?

Since finishing the What Matters book, I feel a sense of calm peace in my soul. Over the last couple of days, I’ve been able to focus solely on my schoolwork, and I’m caught up for the time being. Yay! I’m hoping Hannah will have a little time to proof/edit the book this weekend.

Reviews and the Constitution

This morning, I found out that I got a review in ArtNowLA written by Zara Kand. Does it count if we’re friends? Maybe? Zara writes for several art magazines, but she is also a great painter and practically my neighbor. She lives about a mile away, and what’s totally crazy is that we have the same landlords!

Little Books & More Kickstarter Stuff

I finally got a proof of my new little book of drawings in the mail. Everything looked decent, but I needed to make a few edits, specifically the centerfold pages. It’s one single drawing across two pages that weren’t lining up correctly. I figured I musta did something wrong there, so I started from the beginning and made them line up. I just won’t know if it worked until I get another proof.

Bad Cricket / Hurty Brain

Well, as of today, there are 40 days left to receive pledges for the Kickstarter campaign. That’s getting close to the halfway mark. However, we are not even half-funded yet. I feel like I’ve exhausted my contacts, and, of course, I hate asking people, even though people will get art in return for donating.
